He was such a brilliant student that Nobel Laureate, Robert Merton, hired Jonathan as his research assistant. After graduating, Jonathan worked on Wall Street and in Newport, CA managing money for high-wealth families and developing investment strategies for Wall Street clients. All this started with Jonathan running away from home at 17 to become a musician in America. Life on the streets, a stint at Santa Monica Community College, admission as an undergrad to UCLA, and then admission to Boston University's superb PhD program in economics was preamble to these postings.
