Biden Channels Trump

Lying, Entitled, Egocentric. Sound Familiar?

If the Democrats had one major advantage over President Trump, it’s was their treatment of the truth and their focus on nation over person. Biden has tossed this trump card to the wind. He’s done so by closely aping Trump.

Trump, as every sentient American knows, lies. He lies incessantly. He lies in broad daylight. He lies about his lies, exponentiating them as they grow stale. Lying is the mainstay of his burlesque act. His supporters love his lies. They cherish the old ones, they revel in the new ones, and they exalt in their capacity to enrage their supposed enemies. Trump is not a liar and a showman. He’s a liar showman. Lying for its entertainment value is his main act.

Biden beat Trump because enough Americans get stomach sick when they hear lies. They don’t find lies funny. They find them despicable. For such people, Trump’s lies plus his smirks, which Trump surely practices in the mirror, produce flu-like symptoms. This so-called Trump Derangement Syndrome is viewed by MAGAists as a form of unfounded mental illness. But TDS has real causes and, so far, political consequences.

As Lincoln put it, “You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.” So, when it came to election day in 2020, the people, on balance, told the nation’s premier liar to stand down and shut up.

But Trump didn’t go gently into the night. He fell victim to his own lies. Their internal manufacture came at a huge cost — to himself and our nation. Trump can no longer separate his performance art from reality. His mental illness was on full display at the June 27th debate. So was Biden’s developing dementia. Adam Wren of Politico nailed it. The choice is between “old and senile and old and unhinged.”

Biden is now in full Trump mode. He’s lying about his mental state and forcing his family and every leading Democrat to claim he just had a bad night and is perfectly fit for office. The parade of leading Democrats who are genuflecting to Biden is in full swing.

This is no different from Trump “inviting” the House Speaker and a host of other Republican sycophants to join him at his recent trial. And it’s no different from Trump’s establishing a loyalty litmus test on who won the 2020 election.

Biden used to be the guy who was out for the country. He’s now the guy who’s out for himself. To claim that he has the best chance of beating Donald Trump after he couldn’t string three sentences together, well, that’s lying, entitlement, and egomania — the essence of Trump.

It’s also what so many saw in Hillary Clinton. “I and I alone can lead the country. I and I alone deserve the nomination. I have put in my time. I deserve your support. The presidency. It’s my precious.”

Every major news media has told Biden to step down. And every major Democrat has, so far, showed what they treasure most — their political futures. They are selling out themselves and our country. Sound familar?
