Larry, wonderful words. We are all mourning. I was his teacher in Chile at age 20, before Harvard. A great man. He did a lot for Chile, in my view his leadership during Covid was his finest hour.
Your last paragraph is particularly moving. I fits the words of Va Pensiero of Verdi played at his funeral when leaving the cathedral.
