Finally, a Republican Candidate Calls Out Trump, CNN, and, St Anselm College
Steve Laffey Calls Out All Three for the Trump "Town Hall"
Whether you are a Democrat, Independent, or Republican, please watch Steve Laffey discuss CNN’s disgraceful “town hall” with President Trump. Steve, who appeared on my podcast, is running for the Republican nomination. Steve’s a good friend and has named me his economic advisor.
Whether you do or don’t like Steve’s positions (and he and I differ on key issues like the right to choose and trade with China), Steve’s the only Republican candidate with the guts to call out Donald Trump for his “revolting, disgusting, and repugnant” conduct on CNN. Steve’s also the only Republican candidate who refused to vote for Trump.
CNN and St Anselm College sold their souls when they hosted Trump. They not only gave him a massive, prime-time platform to spew more of his lies, concoct more of his fantasies, and deny his treasonous behavior. They provided him with a hand-picked audience apparently programmed, if not paid, to laugh as he verbally abused the female host and a woman he physically abused — as determined the day before by a jury of his peers.
Let’s see if CNN and St Anselm College are willing to do a town hall with a real Republican Presidential candidate — someone who knows right from wrong, someone who will call out despicable behavior no matter the political price, and someone who has real answers to our very real problems.
As for those in charge of CNN and St Anselm College, including all members of their boards, they should recall President Kennedy’s admonition and do the proper thing — resign.
The hottest places in Hell are reserved for those who in time of moral crisis preserve their neutrality.
